And I finally post some photos: Wednesday/Thursday

And now, what you've all been waiting for! Actually, if you have just been waiting for photos I'm offended you don't like reading my ramblings. Regardless, some photos:

In my first Tuk tuk
Just some traffic outside the tuk tuk

Out the other side

Entrance to the Gardens

The walkway through from the gate

Inside the gardens
The granite hill

The shrine at the top of said granite hill

Our rejected friend

Cool trees, also my first failure at trying to photograph a squirrel

Kites soaring overhead (bird Kite not kite kite)

One of the families Alex befriended that we took photos with

Sean befriends a topiary deer (?)

Not actually sure what this was. We were trying to walk away from an overly enthusiastic potential tour guide at this point

Some carvings

This was a giant peacock that presumably will have a floral tail come August

A fountain

The rose gardens. There were no roses in bloom and regardless, they are behind a fence to stop people from picking them

The rose gardens are prohibited

Proof that since the invention of smart phones I have lost my ability to take selfies without seeing the screen

Why I was taking a selfie...

A lake/pond thing

Everyone, meet an Indian Palm Squirrel!

I may try and bring one back home with me..

Either fishing the lake or cleaning the nets - the fish was not very wiggly

Topiaries! I am getting sick of posting captions

ITS A TREE! A white silk cotton tree to be precise. It was huge

I'm pretty sure the sign read 'Memorial Hall' and I wondered where the memorial for the clearly forgotten memorial hall was

Its a fountain! Or is it a pond...

A statue of people or things that I do not know what

Did anyone else never realise that Snow White lived in India? Or was that just me?

Sean and the dwarves

Commercial Street district

The display at the shop Alex spent forever deciding on clothes. The outfit in the middle is a traditional groom's outfit and the helmet is their joke regarding marriage

Shoulda bought this for a friend (Cristina you know who you are)

I do not know why this photo is at the end - this was the first photo I took in India - at the airport
Our guest house (once again this photo should be at the start)

The place across the street

From Wednesday - First Thali plate and first attempt eating rice with my hands

Also from Wednesday - the view from the roof at dusk

Wednesday - selfie on the roof

Thursday morning: Sean makes a friend
Sherrie gets annoyed that her photos are out of order but is too lazy to try and fix it

The sign that ruined my hopes of going into the lake at Lal Bagh

SQUIRREL
